The module aims to provide basic historical and geographical knowledge and skills in relation to the different historical periods and the characteristics of landscapes and regions as well as the socio-cultural, economic and political systems that define their organisation, relationships, transformation processes and identity. The focus is on the Ladin area. The didactic realisation of the acquired knowledge takes place with special consideration of the age group (0)-2-7 years.

Educational objectives
The educational objectives of the module are: - Basic knowledge and basic competences which, in the subject area of history, include general specialist knowledge of local, regional and world history as well as methodological and didactic skills for the individual promotion of historical awareness in children aged 2 to 12 years; - Basic knowledge and basic competences in the subject area of geography, which include specialist knowledge of general geography and local history as well as methodological and didactic skills to promote geographical awareness in children of the respective age group. - Acquire basic historical and geographical knowledge and skills related to different historical periods and the characteristics of landscapes and regions as well as the socio-cultural, economic and political systems that define their organisation, relationships, transformation processes and identity. - To follow a European view of history from the perspective of a minority such as the Ladin, to develop an understanding of history as a basis for understanding and comprehending the current situation of the Ladin ethnic group and its relationship with its German and Italian neighbours. - Ability to recognise parallels in the history of comparable minorities (Bündnerromanen, Friauler) and to use them for didactics. Expected learning outcomes and competences: Knowledge and understanding Insight into the various historical epochs and the most important features and characteristics of general geography and local history Application of knowledge and understanding Planning, creating and implementing teaching units and teaching series in which the historical and geographical awareness of the learners is awakened and promoted Making judgements Forming factual and value judgements when developing and interpreting historical accounts and sources as well as geographical phenomena and processes) Communication Presentation, discussion and evaluation of the content and teaching units developed in the laboratories Learning strategies Creation of different structures that enable learners to make learning progress

Assessment
Written and oral examination: written performance assessment (VL) and oral examination with examination questions and "transfer questions" Oral examination and laboratory: oral examination with examination questions and "transfer questions" with a review of the experience gained in the laboratory

Evaluation criteria
The final grade is made up of the overall grades from the History and Geography sections. Both sections must be assessed positively in order to achieve a positive overall grade for the module. Criteria for grade allocation: - Clarity of answers, correct command of language, ability to synthesise, judgement and ability to make references to the topics covered; - Ability to work collaboratively, creativity, critical thinking and synthesis skills. In the event of a negative assessment of the overall module, any positively assessed parts of the module will be credited the next time you take the module examination. Please note, however, that a negative assessment will also count towards the number of examination attempts in this case. According to the examination regulations, three attempts without passing will result in a block for three examination dates. (see also Article 6, Paragraph 4 of the current examination regulations).

The course will deal with the most historically significant events for Ladinia and Tyrol from the perspective of local history, cultural history and linguistic history of the Dolomite valleys: - The Ladin area in the past and present - The Roman period - The Middle Ages and the integration of Ladinia into the Germanic world - The prince-bishoprics - The Reformation and its consequences - Absolutism and Illuminism - The Napoleonic era - The Restoration, the National Age - The First World War - The age of dictatorships - The Second World War - The period after the Second World War
