The Competence Centre for Social Work, Social Pedagogy and Social Policy is a competence center for research, networking and scientific communication that takes into account local, national and international research contexts and developments.

Mit mehreren Forschungsprojekten zum Gesetz Nr. 112 von 2016 trägt die unibz zu mehr Selbstbestimmung von Menschen mit Beeinträchtigung bei - auch mit einer Borschüre in leichter Sprache.
La ricercatrice si è aggiudicata il Premio Baldry Luberti, promosso dal Coordinamento Italiano dei Servizi contro il Maltrattamento e l’Abuso all’Infanzia (CISMAI) e da Terre des Hommes.
The main objective of the Centre is to conduct research in the fields of social work, social pedagogy and social policy thematic priorities which are of great relevance in South Tyrol. Due to the strategic position of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, the topics are treated with special attention to the developments in the German-speaking countries and in the other parts of Italy, with a methodological emphasis on participative research.
