Consolidation of some grammatical structures and vocabulary (level B1-B2). Specific topics of national and international public debate related to the specificity of the course of study. Technical language: vocabulary, syntax, text structure. Reports / presentations on specific topics.

Themen der Lehrveranstaltung
Current topics of economic, political, social and ethical debate in the media. Italian companies (sector, structure, profile, economic challenges and social and economic issues). Technical language: textualisation, vocabulary and syntax. Practice of specific grammatical topics for oral interaction and written communication. Test examples (level B2) taken from Italian language certifications.

Propädeutische Lehrveranstaltungen
In order to adequately follow the lessons, competence level B2 of the European Language Framework, certified by means of an International Certificate or at least a Unibz Language Centre test, is recommended.

Unterrichtsform
Teaching methodology emphasizes student cooperation and participation in and outside the classroom through individual, pairwise and group work. Specifically, starting from rich and varied linguistic input, opportunities and activities for linguistic and thematic reflection are offered.

Bildungsziele
Knowledge and understanding: By the end of the programme, students will have acquired the following knowledge and skills: - analyse the demand and supply of goods and services; - the ability to understand the price mechanism in market economies; - the ability to apply the concepts of game theory to the economic behaviour of public and private actors; - the ability to understand the role of governments in market economies; - the ability to analyse the behaviour of economic variables in the short, medium and long run; - the ability to place economic thinking in a historical context and to assess the role of technology and social change in the development of economic thinking; - the ability to understand complex texts in the field of economics in the three languages of instruction; - the ability to analyse human behaviour in organisations; - the ability to understand theories of organisational decision-making; - the ability to understand how political decisions are made and how these decisions affect the economy; - recognising and understanding the conditions required for sustainable economic development, taking into account the environment and natural resources; - understand the reasons for economic growth and development of countries; - understand the basic principles of the functioning of labour markets; - estimation and interpretation of econometric models for the empirical analysis of the above problems. Applying knowledge and understanding: the ability to communicate fluently and spontaneously with native speakers on economic topics. Communication skills: Fluency in written and spoken Italian, German and English, including the translation of these languages. Intercultural competence. Conceptual conciseness, ability to capture facts in writing, especially for scientific and science-based texts.

Art der Prüfung
To be admitted to the examination, students must submit a dossier to the lecturers at least 10 days before the examination date. The dossier will be assessed and will contribute to the final mark. The dossier contains three compulsory written assignments to be completed outside the classroom on key aspects of the programme, plus a PowerPoint presentation (the topic will be announced at the beginning of the course). The inclusion of other contributions, in addition to those assigned, is optional. The examination consists of two parts: 1. Written examination: > written test: assesses reading, vocabulary and textual comprehension skills Duration: 60 min. The use of monolingual and bilingual dictionaries is not permitted. > dossier: (see above) 2. Oral examination: > discussion/interaction on the contents of the dossier and the topics covered during the course > PowerPoint presentation Duration: 15 min. Non-attending students will take the same examination as attending students and are invited to contact the lecturer on Teams or by email and to connect regularly to the platform.

Bewertungskriterien
30% –> written examination 20% –> dossier 30% -> oral examination 20% -> PowerPoint presentation The dossier is assessed in terms of the consistency and structure of its content, as well as its formal correctness. Evaluation criteria: clarity and completeness of answers, mastery and correctness of language, ability to summarize, evaluate, and establish relationships between topics.
