In this public lecture, Paolo will provide an overview of the College and will focus on the ecosystem for research, entrepreneurship and innovation.

In the past 25 years, Imperial has seen the formation of hundreds of companies based on there search of its academic staff, its students and its alumni. Since its launch in 2006, the Imperial Incubator has provided home for more than 150 businesses.This cohort has gone on to raise hundreds of millions in funding, creating a thousand of jobs, and inspiring a new generation of entrepreneurs.

Imperial has recently launched a new campus, White City, that is designed to boost these activities. There, the I-HUB is the new house for incubation and acceleration of companies, as well as extensive support for staff and students in the form of Touchstone Innovations, Imperial Enterprise Lab, the Imperial CollegeAdvanced Hackspace and the Invention Rooms.

Paolo will also provide an overview of the Business School and how such a ecosystem is integrated and leveraged in/by the portfolio of programmes.
