Although extensive research has shown that either differentiated or integrated structures can sustain hybridity, we know little about how their combination impacts hybridization efforts and how these two structural solutions unfold at different organizational layers. We address these gaps through a seven-year inductive study of San Patrignano, a social venture that has adapted its structural arrangements to manage the hybridization of its original social orientation with elements typical of the commercial logic.
