Revision and consolidation of some grammatical structures and vocabulary (level B2- C1). Specific topics of public debate at national and international level related to the specificity of the course of study. Focus: access to the world of work. Advanced technical language: terminology, syntax, text structure. Reports / presentations on specific topics.

Themen der Lehrveranstaltung
Current topics of economic, political, social and ethical debate in the media The world of work: - Professional profiles and applications (CV, job offer, company information, cover letter, job interview) - Young people and women in the world of work in Italy Technical language: textualization, vocabulary and syntax. Practice of specific grammatical topics for oral interaction and written communication. Test examples (level C1) taken from Italian language certifications.

Propädeutische Lehrveranstaltungen
Successful completion of the Italian Exam 27116 (first year) is suggested in order to properly follow these lectures.

Unterrichtsform
Teaching methodology emphasizes student cooperation and participation in and outside the classroom through individual, pairwise and group work. Specifically, starting from rich and varied linguistic input, opportunities and activities for linguistic and thematic reflection are offered.

Bildungsziele
Knowledge and understanding: By the end of the training course, students will have acquired the following knowledge and understanding: 1. analysis of the demand and supply of goods and services; 2. ability to understand the price mechanism in market economies; 3. ability to apply the concepts of game theory to the economic behaviour of public and private actors; 4. ability to understand the role of governments in market economies; 5. ability to analyse the behaviour of economic variables in the short, medium and long run; 6. ability to historically contextualise economic thinking and to assess the role of technology and social change on the evolution of economic thinking; 7. ability to understand complex economic texts in the three languages of instruction; 8. ability to analyse human behaviour in the field of economics; 8. ability to analyse human behaviour in organisations 9. ability to understand organisational decision-making theories; 10. ability to understand how political choices are formulated and how these decisions affect the economy; 11. recognising and understanding the conditions that are necessary for sustainable economic development taking into consideration the environment and natural resources; 12. understanding of the reasons for economic growth and development of countries; 13. understanding of the basic principles of functioning of labour markets; 14. estimation and interpretation of econometric models for the empirical analysis of the above problems. Applying knowledge and understanding: Ability to interact fluently and spontaneously with native speakers on economic topics. Communication skills: Fluency (oral and written) in Italian, German and English, including translation between these languages. Intercultural competence. Conceptual awareness, synthesis skills and written expression, particularly in the drafting of scientific or science-based documents.

Art der Prüfung
To be admitted to the examination, students must submit a dossier to the lecturers at least 10 days before the examination date. The dossier will be assessed and will contribute to the final mark. The dossier contains three compulsory written assignments to be completed outside the classroom on key aspects of the programme, plus a PowerPoint presentation (the topic will be announced at the beginning of the course). The inclusion of other contributions, in addition to those assigned, is optional. The examination consists of two parts: 1. Written examination: > written test: assesses reading, vocabulary and textual comprehension skills Duration: 60 min. The use of monolingual and bilingual dictionaries is not permitted. > dossier: (see above) 2. Oral examination: > discussion/interaction on the contents of the dossier and the topics covered during the course > PowerPoint presentation Duration: 15 min. Non-attending students will take the same examination as attending students and are invited to contact the lecturer on Teams or by email and to connect regularly to the platform.

Bewertungskriterien
30% –> written examination 20% –> dossier 30% -> oral examination 20% -> PowerPoint presentation The dossier is assessed in terms of content consistency and structure, as well as formal correctness. The evaluation criteria: clarity and completeness of answers, linguistic proficiency and correctness, ability to summarise, evaluate and establish relationships between topics.
