Il peer tutoring a scuola. Il progetto “La Banca del Tempo” per l’educazione socio-emotiva in adolescenza

In the series unibz junior researcher, the Bozen-Bolzano University Press has just released a new volume by author Francesca Schir.

The publication focuses on peer tutoring in schools, reflecting the results from the project “La Banca del Tempo” (the Time Bank) that studied the socio-emotional education in adolescence. To counteract a rise in issues among adolescents, such as anxiety, bullying, and relationship struggles the peer tutoring project was introduced in secondary schools. Its goal was to enhance adolescent well-being through cooperative and solidarity-based educational strategies. The study analyses the experiences of the young tutors – students who support their peers – and examines what they gained from this experience. The results revealed that tutoring fosters youth well-being and helps build supportive peer networks.

In addition to the open access version, which can be downloaded free of charge from the bu,press webshop, the work will soon also be available in print at a price of 28 euros.
