The course is designed to acquire basic language skills in Spanish. At the end of the course the students will be able to introduce themselves, to talk about their families, about their likes and dislikes, about food, will be able to ask and give directions, to describe their city, to talk about daily habits.

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding understand cultural diversity in both oral and non-oral communication communicate in written form effectively in normal business activities in consideration of different cultural aspects express complex concepts and events accurately using terms specific to tourism, sport and events understand and use both academic and popular publications and information sources communicate professionally and present to peers or the public interpret and report on scientific texts write academic texts For French and Spanish, the macro-area aims to provide the ability to apply knowledge and understanding in the following aspects reading, writing and communicating in the reference language understand fundamental elements of the reference culture through a linguistic approach use specialist vocabulary in the field of tourism, sport and events prepare simple professional presentations. Communication skills Graduates of this degree course will develop excellent communication skills in at least three languages, and have basic knowledge of a fourth language. The achievement of this objective will be assessed by means of written examinations, individual and group assignments as well as the final dissertation.

Modalità d'esame
Final Written and Oral Exam: The written exam includes exercises designed to assess listening, reading and writing skills as well as basic grammar and vocabulary. The written exam includes the following sections: • Listening comprehension • Reading comprehension • Use of Spanish • Text composition The oral exam consists of review questions covering the main topics studied during the course. Assessment for attending/non-attending students is the same since this is a course of no obligatory attendance. Duration written test: 75 minutes Duration oral test: 6 to 7 minutes

Criteri di valutazione
Partial assessments: weighting of parts: 80% written and 20% oral. (100 points: 80 points written, 20 points oral.). Relevant for oral assessment: clarity of answers, mastery of the Spanish language, grammatical accuracy.
