The Quality Committee promotes and disseminates a culture of quality within the University through the responsible involvement of all stakeholders in the internal Quality Assurance system. It defines tools and procedures for Quality Assurance in teaching, research, and third mission/societal impact, coordinating and supervising their appropriate and consistent implementation.
It also provides support to the University Government and academic structures – Faculties, Degree courses, and PhD programmes – ensuring the flow of information with the Evaluation Centre and ANVUR.
The Committee meets regularly in formal sessions and working meetings, organizes training activities, and prepares a annual report on the monitoring of the Quality Assurance system.
The Quality Committee is composed of members of the academic staff and the student representative appointed by the Student Council. The appointment of its members is governed by Article 13 of the Statute of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, in force since 1 September 2016. The Managing Director and the Head of Staff Unit Quality and Strategy Development participate in the meetings with advisory voting rights.
The Quality Committee is supported in its activities by the Staff Unit Quality and Strategy Development.
